Hello CTC Families,

Very Important Information for ALL families: If your child is sick, has a fever or experiencing vomiting, please do not bring your child to school. All symptoms must be gone and clear 24 hours before returning back to school. Please help us keep each other safe and healthy here at CTC!

Elementary School Uniforms: Parker School Uniforms is no longer on back order so starting this week, all elementary school students are required to wear the appropriate uniforms. An extension will remain only for the girl’s jumper and Chapel blouse. 

School Clubs: This year after the Elementary school day is completed; we will be offering a number of clubs. You may pick up the forms in the white mailboxes in the back of the chapel for the various clubs. The details of each club, limits on age, the cost, and number of students who can participate are given on the forms. The sign-ups are on a first come, first serve basis so do not hesitate in signing up.

Every year we are fortunate to have students from Korea join us in our classrooms. The students are with us for various lengths of time. This is to promote their grasp of the English language and to expose our students to another culture. Please make them feel welcome when you see them on campus. 

Education Sunday- September 24th at 10am, we will have a special worship service where all of our Preschool and Elementary Staff will be dedicated for the new school year. You are all invited to come celebrate with us as we dedicate our school year to the Lord. At this time we will also be celebrating Mrs. Mayeski’s many years of service to our school. Sunday School will be available for the children during the service. Please bring a dish to share and join us in a Potluck Lunch following the worship service. It will be a great time to meet other parents and our church families and to express your thanks to Mrs. Mayeski.

Mira Mesa Street Fair -October 7th 10am-5pm: We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help set up, tear down, and/or man our booth. It is a great opportunity to share our school with the community! Please consider signing up to volunteer. We are looking for commitments of at least 2 hour shifts. The sign-up sheet is in the back of Chapel. Thank you for your support!

Red Apple Fundraiser has begun: Generally we have a fundraiser each month of the school year to help keep our monthly tuitions as reasonable as we can. For September we have the Red Apple Fundraiser. The sale begins on Wednesday, September 6th and ends on Wednesday, September 20th. Please share the catalog of gift wrap and gift ideas with family and friends. We will be using the funds earned for school improvements. Thank you for your support!

Scrip are gift cards you purchase through CTC: Every purchase you make benefits the school. Why not use scrip for most of your purchases or as gifts for you, your family, and friends? See the attached order forms for a list of scrip available.  Thank you for your support!

Volunteer Immunizations & Background Checks Required: All parents and grandparents or others who wish to volunteer, be on the school campus during the school day, or be here at lunch time to visit or help the school in any way are now required to have immunizations records showing proof of a negative TB test and that you have had your whooping cough and measles immunization, a current flu shot between August and December 1st each year and a complete a Background Check.  The cost of the Background test is $9 per person. Please see the attached form. One form is needed for each adult wishing to volunteer. Forms and checks (made out to CTCA) may be submitted to the school office as soon as the forms have been completed. Please make checks payable to CTCA.  If you have already completed the background check, it is not necessary to do it again each year. Please see attached Background Check Form to complete.
