Admissions

Members of our congregation support Christ the Cornerstone Academy and as such we serve the needs of our church families. Families who are members of Christ the Cornerstone Lutheran Church will receive a membership tuition discount as set by the Board of Christian Education and Elders of our Church. However, families not making Christ the Cornerstone their church home, but who display a sincere concern for Christian education will also be considered for admittance to the school.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy welcomes students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Christ the Cornerstone does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, and athletic or other school programs.

There is a six-week academic and disciplinary trial period for each student. If a problem arises, an appointment will be made one month following the start of school for a conference between the parents and teacher. At any time, the Administrator (for immediate concerns) may call a special meeting. Acceptance and grade level placement in the day school may be based on an acceptable score on an entrance examination AND/OR teacher & administration recommendation.

A child entering Preschool must be 3 years of age and toilet trained. Repeated "accidents" may result in removal from the program until the child meets the bathroom requirements. Garments worn should be child friendly to make bathroom use easy. We offer a half day and a full day program.

ENROLLMENT AND REGISTRATION
Parents enrolling children in Kindergarten - Sixth grades will need to bring the Enrollment Form, Kindergarten - Sixth Grade Enrollment Contract, a signed Tuition and Fee Schedule, and the $250.00 Registration Fee to the office before the registration process is considered complete.

Parents enrolling children in Preschool will need to bring the Enrollment Form, Preschool Enrollment Contract, a signed Tuition and Fee Schedule, and the Registration Fee that applies to their child/children.

It is important that the Enrollment Form be complete and accurate, as this information will become the basis for the student's file.

PARENTS OF KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
Kindergarten students need to be 5 years old on or before September 1st of the current academic year. Special circumstances may require testing.

PARENTS OF FIRST GRADE STUDENTS:
Parents of students entering the First Grade will need proof of a doctor's physical. This physical can be done any time during the 18 months prior to the student entering First Grade. The "Report of Health Checkup for School Entry" forms are available in the school office and must be returned prior to the first day of school.
