Worship
Worship is the very center of our life as God's people in Christ our Lord and Savior. In worship together, we receive from God His grace and forgiveness in Word and Sacrament. In worship together, we return to God our thanks and praise. Our services are at 10:00am Sunday morning and Sunday School is at 10:15 a.m. Typically our format is a traditional service using Communion Setting II from the Lutheran Book of Worship. Several times a year we worship with the more contemporary Chicago Folk Mass or with a "theme" service on (for example) evangelism, missions, or women's ministries.

Mid-week services are offered during the Advent and Lenten seasons, and other opportunities for worship are provided throughout the year. Whatever the format of the day, our services are prayer and praise of God for what Christ has done for us in his death and resurrection.

Christian Education
Christian Education is vital to increasing the faith and fulfilling the life of each Christian. Christ the Cornerstone provides a rich educational ministry for all ages. Sunday School offers Biblical teaching for children age three through adult. The Sunday School hour begins at 10:15 a.m., shortly after the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Service.

First Communion Class is offered for those 5th and 6th grade students preparing for the celebration of Holy Communion.

Confirmation Classes are offered during the school year for 7th and 8th grade students. This year classes are held on Wednesday at 3:30pm.

Adult Information Class is offered four times each year. This class is scheduled on a Saturday, and it is designed to review the main beliefs and practices of the Christian faith. This class is especially important for those who desire to become part of our parish family at Christ the Cornerstone.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy offers a quality Christian education for children from preschool through sixth grade. The school's motto is CHRIST IN EDUCATION. Daycare may be provided for students after school hours for working parents. Please call the school office at (858) 566-1741 for further information.

Voice Ensemble
Voice Ensemble are for adults and children grades 2 & up. Please call the church office for more information. Christ the Cornerstone Voice Ensemble meets at the church each Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
