Mrs. Fisher, 4th & 5th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Katie Talbott was born and raised in Minnesota. Upon graduating from high school, she moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to pursue a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Elementary Education with minors in Special Education and Psychology at Augustana University. Graduating in 2012, she found herself a job teaching 1st graders in Yuma, Arizona where she had never been and did not know anyone. While Yuma was a great learning experience, her heart was out in San Diego. She moved once more and loves the beautiful weather and activities San Diego has to offer.
She started out in San Diego working part time for the Del Mar and Encinitas School Districts in their Special Education departments and after school program. She found a job teaching 5th grade at Horizon Christian Academy and loved her students so much she looped with them to 6th grade the following year. As Horizon closed its doors in 2017, she has relocated to 5th grade at CTC and looks forward to the future years and journey ahead! Her favorite subjects to teach are Math and Science as they are both necessary for students to master and a high demand in our changing society!
Mrs. Talbott recently got married, and has enjoyed spending time with her new husband and their two dogs, Nadie and Lakota. They enjoy hiking, traveling, and taking their dogs to the beach.
