My philosophy on teaching is to motivate all my students, teach
them to enjoy learning for the sake of learning, and be responsible,
respectful citizens. To accomplish this I believe it is important for a
teacher to have a positive, friendly relationship with their students,
keep them comfortable and interested, and let them know they have
a safe environment in which to learn. But, it is equally important for
them to know that I am the one in charge. I believe the learning
environment that I provide is successful because students know
what is expected of them, and I try to use personal experiences,
games, videos, and supplementary work to make the curriculum
more interesting. It is very important that all my students succeed
academically, and I try to involve parents as much as possible when
a student is having academic, or discipline problems. I know that it
has been a successful school year when I see that our student
standardized test scores are above the local, and national averages. |
